Specialist Speech & Language Therapy

A person-centred practice based in Totnes — working with children, teenagers and adults right across the South West.

We're Lucinda and Kathryn

Two experienced Speech and Language Therapists, based in Totnes.

We share a belief that with the right support, at the right time, people can make real and lasting changes — and that good therapy should feel practical, collaborative, and genuinely fulfilling.

What we help with

One-to-one therapy tailored to you. Explore our three core services below — we're also happy to talk through anything closely related that's not listed here.

Stammering

Children, teenagers and adults. Evidence-based approaches including Michael Palin PCI, ACT and Solution Focused Brief Therapy — led by Lucinda.

Stroke & brain injury

Rehabilitation for aphasia, dysarthria, apraxia of speech and cognitive-communication difficulties after stroke or acquired brain injury — led by Kathryn.

Functional neurological disorder (FND)

Counselling-informed speech, voice and communication support where FND sits in the picture — validating, pacing-led and practical.

Meaningful goals, shaped around you

Our approach is rooted in the latest evidence-base, combined with goals that feel personally meaningful and motivating for the individuals and families we work alongside.

We both have experience in counselling alongside our core SLT work — it means we're comfortable sitting with the emotional side of communication difficulties, not just the clinical side.

What clients say

A few words from people we've worked with.

  • For the first time in years I feel like I can speak up in meetings without rehearsing every sentence. The work we did on confidence — not just speech — completely changed how I show up at work.

  • After Dad's stroke we didn't know where to start. Sessions were calm, practical, and full of small wins. He's back to phoning my sister every Sunday — that means everything to us.

    Daughter of stroke survivor
  • Our six-year-old went from dreading reading aloud at school to volunteering for the class play. We were given tools we could actually use at home, every day.
